Terms of Use

Article 1: Scope of Application

Contracts related to the use of the ski resort operated by Sapporo Resort Development Co., Ltd. shall be governed by the provisions of these terms. Any matters not specified herein shall be governed by applicable laws and regulations, as well as Japan's "Standards on Snow Sports Safety." If no such provisions exist, they shall be interpreted in accordance with general custom and practice.


Article 2: Inherent Risks of Snow Sports

Users (hereinafter referred to as the "Users") of this ski resort (hereinafter referred to as the "Resort") must acknowledge that all snow sports, including but not limited to skiing and snowboarding, inherently involve the following risks.
1.Risks associated with weather conditions such as snowfall, blizzards, rain, and dense fog (including whiteouts).
2.Risks arising from terrain such as cliffs, slopes, uneven ground, ditches, and ravines.
3.Risks due to snow quality or surface conditions, including icy patches, deep snow, and avalanches.
4.Risks caused by natural obstacles such as trees, stumps, bushes, rocks, and exposed ground.
5.Risks of collision with man-made structures such as lift poles, signs, ropes, and mats.
6.Risks of collision with snow vehicles.
7.Risks associated with the use of snow parks or similar facilities.
8.Risks arising from excessive speed.
9.Risks of self-inflicted falls.
10.Risks of collision with other Users.
11.Risks due to fatigue, alcohol consumption, medication, or poor physical condition.
12.Risks arising from the use of improper or unsuitable equipment.
13.Other similar risks.


Article 3: Compliance with Signs and Instructions

Users must follow all signs, instructions, announcements, and warnings indicated on trail maps, as well as any directions given by patrol personnel or Resort staff.


Article 4: Prohibited Acts

The following acts are strictly prohibited for all Users.
1.Entering or skiing in areas outside the controlled zones or in prohibited zones (hereinafter referred to as "Restricted Areas").
2.Entering or skiing on closed trails.
3.Intentionally skiing close to other Users or to natural or artificial objects such as trees or lift poles.
4.Interfering with the operations of lifts or gondolas.
5.Approaching any snow vehicles.
6.Skiing in any state of impaired physical or mental condition due to the influence of alcohol or drugs.
7.Hiking up within the trails for purposes such as mountaineering.
8.Illegally reselling lift tickets.
9.Remaining stationary or sitting for extended periods on the trail.
10.Monopolizing or occupying the slope by creating jumps, kickers, setting up poles, or other similar acts without permission from the Resort.
11.Conducting sales or hosting events without permission from the Resort.
12.Providing paid lessons or conducting group instruction on skiing, snowboarding, or other snow sports without permission from the Resort.
13.Engaging in solicitation or touting within the Resort.
14.Operating drones within Resort airspace without permission from the Resort.
15.Disposing of or leaving cans, cigarette butts, or other trash outside designated areas.
16.Allowing animals such as dogs to run free within the ski resort.
17.Damaging the natural environment of the mountain.
18.Engaging in any conduct similar to that described above.


Article 5: Duty to Reduce Speed

Users must reduce their speed under the following circumstances.
1.Where signs indicate reduced speed.
2.Where terrain or obstacles make it difficult to see ahead.
3.Where snow coverage is insufficient, such as early in the season or in spring.
4.When visibility is poor due to snowfall, blizzards, fog, or sunset (including whiteouts).
5.When approaching natural obstacles such as trees or artificial structures such as lift poles, nets, or ropes.
6.At trail junctions or narrow sections of a trail.
7.When approaching lift boarding or unloading areas.
8.When the trail is crowded.
9.When approaching patrol personnel or snow vehicles operating under official duties.
10.When skiing or snowboarding in any other area where not slowing down would be dangerous.


Article 6: Obligations While Skiing/Snowboarding

Users must ski or snowboard in accordance with the following provisions.
1.Control your speed according to the terrain, weather, snow conditions, skill level, and congestion on the slope.
2.Yield to skiers/snowboarders approaching from above when starting, merging, or crossing a trail.
3.Pay attention to the movements of skiers and snowboarders ahead and maintain a safe distance.
4.When overtaking, leave ample space while accounting for any possible sudden movements by the other Users.
5.If you fall, clear the trail as quickly as possible and move to the side.
6.When stopping or ascending/descending manually on the trail, use the edge of the trail.
7.Do not sit or stop in narrow or low-visibility areas.
8.When patrol personnel or snow vehicles are on duty, yield to their operations,give way,and either stop or proceed slowly.
9.Attach safety straps or retainers to prevent equipment from sliding away and causing harm to others.


Article 7: Obligations When Using Special Trails or Snow Parks

Users must observe the following rules.
1.Ski or snowboard within the limits of your own ability and skill.
2.Check the safety of the landing area before starting.
3.Wear a helmet and other necessary protective gear.
4.Follow all posted notices and warnings.


Article 8: Commercial User by Groups or Organizations

1.If the Resort is to be used for commercial purposes by a group, organization, or individual, the representative must notify the resort in advance.
2.The representative must take the lead in complying with these Terms of Use and ensure that all participants do so as well.


Article 9: Lesson Activities within the Ski Resort

1.Individuals conducting lessons in skiing, snowboarding, or other snow sports within the Resort (hereinafter referred to as "Instructors") must obtain prior approval from the Resort in accordance with the "External Lesson Implementation Guidelines." However, this does not apply to casual advice or instruction between family members or friends.
2.Instructors must not conduct lessons in areas or in ways that obstruct other Users.
3.Instructors must provide thorough safety guidance to participants and offer instruction tailored to each participant's skill level, taking into account weather, snow, and slope conditions.
4.Instructors must ensure that participants comply with these Terms of Use.
5.The Resort assumes no responsibility for any accidents or issues that occur during lesson activities. Each party must handle accidents or disputes arising during lessons on their own responsibility.
6.Any other matters related to lesson activities within the Resort shall be governed by the provisions of the "External Lesson Implementation Guidelines."


Article 10: Obligations of Parents and Guardians

1.Parents and guardians must assess the ability of any accompanying children and ensure that children are not exposed to danger.
2.Parents and guardians must make efforts to instruct any accompanying children on the matters set forth in these Terms and Conditions.


Article 11: Cooperation in the Event of an Accident

1.In the event of an accident, both witnesses and those involved must promptly report the circumstances to patrol staff or other Resort personnel. In some cases, you may be asked to provide first aid.
2.In the event of an accident, all Users must make reasonable efforts to assist the injured.
3.Those involved or witnessing an accident must exchange identification with one another.
4.In the event of an accident, all persons involved or witnessing the incident must accurately provide details of the accident, their names, and contact information upon request by resort staff.


Article 12: Safety Equipment

Users should endeavor to wear safety gear such as a helmet.


Article 13: Recommendation to Obtain Insurance

Users are strongly encouraged to obtain accident or liability insurance to prepare for possible incidents.


Article 14: Rescue Operations in Restricted Areas

The Resort assumes no responsibility for any injuries or accidents that occur within Restricted Areas. No search or rescue operations will be conducted at the User's request if they enter such Restricted Areas. If the Resort conducts rescue operations in Restricted Areas at the request of public authorities such as the police or fire department, the User will be charged the following fees. Moreover, if the Resort incurs any damages during rescue or support operations, those costs will also be charged to the User.
    Base Fee:¥50,000 (per hour)
    Labor cost:¥5,000 (per person/per hour)
    Snow Vehicle Usage Fee:¥50,000 (per vehicle/per hour)
    Snowmobile Usage Fee:¥10,000 (per vehicle/per hour)
    Gondola Usage Fee: ¥2,500 (per person/per round trip)



* Labor costs are subject to the following additional rates depending on the time of rescue operations:
・From 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.:+25%
・From 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.:+50%

About no-slip areas

The orange and pink areas of the slope map are outside the no-slip area and management area. Never go outside the no-slip area / management area beyond ropes, nets and signs.

Article 15: Claims for Damages

If the Resort suffers damages due to a User's willful misconduct, negligence, violation of laws, or violation of these Terms and Conditions, the Resort reserves the right to claim compensation from that User for the full amount of damages incurred.


Article 16: Refusal of Use

The Resort reserves the right to suspend lift ticket privileges and deny access to the Resort in any of the following cases.
1.When the Resort determines that the User is not using the facilities in accordance with these Terms of Use, or is likely not using the facilities in accordance with these Terms of Use.
2.When the User makes unreasonable demands or requests beyond what the Resort can accommodate.
3.When the User's conduct violates laws, public order, or morality.
4.When the User is intoxicated or otherwise deemed unsafe to participate.
5.When natural disasters, epidemics, or other unavoidable circumstances hinder Resort operations.
6.When the User fails to follow the instructions of the patrol or Resort staff.
7.When the User is, or is suspected of being, affiliated with an organized crime group, a member thereof, or any other antisocial organization as defined by law.
8.When there are other legitimate reasons for refusal.


Article 17: Restriction of Use

The Resort may restrict access to all or part of the facilities when safety cannot be ensured due to weather conditions, epidemics, or other unavoidable circumstances.


Article 18: Amendment of Terms

These Terms of Use are subject to change in response to social conditions and environmental factors. Any revisions to these Terms of Use, including their content and effective date, will be announced in advance through the Internet or by other appropriate means before taking effect.


(Supplementary Provisions) Establishment, Enforcement, and Revision
These Terms of Use shall take effect as of November 1, 2024.

Article 1
Our cableway business will be conducted according to these terms and conditions.Otherwise as per the law.

Carriage is accepted except for Article 4.
Article 4
We refuse to accept carriage if
(1)If you do not have a valid ticket
(2)If you do not follow the instructions of the staff
(3)When a customer requests special wishes
(4)Failure to observe the law
(5)When transportation business safety is not recognized
(6)If you have dangerous goods
(7)When there is an obstacle due to a genius or unavoidable reason
(8)Any other time that we think is legitimate

The validity of the ticket

1.ckets are only valid when used under the conditions specified in the ticket
2. If you change the fare, the ticket issued before the change will be valid during the validity period
3. If you use a ticket other than our valid ticket, it will be invalid
4. Tickets are invalid if:
(1)Failure to observe the conditions on the ticket
(2)When a season ticket is used by anyone other than the person
(3)When impersonating and using
(4)If you use items for which you cannot see the information on the ticket
5.Tickets are only available to the customer who purchased them. Prohibit gifts or resale to others. In that case, we will collect it as invalid

Present your ticket to the passenger when boarding. Check the type of ticket and collect it.

If you stop driving due to weather etc., we will exchange your ticket etc.

Refund of fare

Fares will not be refunded unless
2.If you cannot drive due to the weather. However, it is different when temporarily stopping operation.
(1)Refund of fare is 10 yen unit
Fractions less than 10 yen are rounded off
(2)Refunds will be made at ticket offices

Prohibited acts

Passengers must not
(1)Do not jump or ride from a fixed position
(2)Move hard ski snowboards and lifts
(3)Riding in a dangerous position
(4)Prevent safe driving

Duty of care

Article13
The duty of care is as follows
(1)If you are not confident in using it, please tell the staff
(2)Move to the riding position and wait for the ski to face forward correctly
(3)If you can not get on, please leave the lift immediately
(4)Make sure your skis and snowboards don't bother your neighbors
(5)Take your backpack off your back and put it on your knees
(6)Snowboarders put on a flow stop. Fold the binding.
2.Duty of care while riding
(1)Sit down deeply and drop down when there is a safety bar
(2)Do not look backwards on the lift
(3)Don't touch the pillar because it's stock
3.Caution when getting off
(1)Be prepared and go straight ahead as you get closer to the landing area
(2)If you did not get off, just take the lift and wait for the staff
4.If something happens, follow the instructions of the attendant

Various responsibilities

Article 14
We will compensate for any damage caused by the operation of the lift if it damages your life or body. Except in the following cases.
(1)If we have complied with the laws regarding lift operation.Where the facility has been proven free of defects or obstacles.
(2)In case of customer negligence

Liability for portable goods

Article 15
Does not compensate for skiing and other damage that may occur during a lift ride.
However, this does not apply if we do not have.

Customer Responsibilities

Article 16
If you do not follow this rule and we suffer damage, we will seek compensation for that damage.

Extra fare

Article 17
If you disguise your ticket, you will get more than twice the extra fare
